Make your own~~~Sweetened Condensed Milk
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1 C. instant non-fat milk
1/3 C. boiling water
3 T. butter, melted
2/3 C. sugar
Pinch of salt
Put in blender and process until smooth.
This recipe can be used in any recipe calling for sweetened condensed milk.
Keeps several weeks in refrigerator.
Makes about same amount as the canned you buy in store.
(store bought variety is made by evaporating whole milk & sugar until thick and creamy.)
